About us
Disposal Pros Dallas started in 2009 as a two-person plumbing outfit that kept getting called for the same job. Rather than treat disposals as the small ticket at the end of the day, we made them the whole business — and got very fast at them.
The founding observation was uncharitable but true: most disposal replacements are sold to people who didn't need one. A unit hums, a homeowner assumes the motor is dead, and someone quotes them four hundred dollars for a part-and-labour job that a hex wrench would have solved in three minutes.
So we built the business around the opposite promise. We publish the diagnostics for free — the same ones we use — and we tell people on the phone when they don't need us. Roughly one service call in four ends without a new unit going in. That's revenue we walked away from, and it's also why our phone keeps ringing seventeen years later.
What we're good at is the boring middle of the job: getting the flange sealed so it doesn't weep in six months, getting the discharge height right so the trap doesn't gurgle, remembering to knock out the dishwasher plug, and testing under a full sink before we pack up. None of that is glamorous. All of it is why you don't call us back.
We'd rather lose a sale and keep a customer for fifteen years. That maths has never once failed us.
Meet the team
A small crew, all of them badged and background-checked. You'll be told by name and photo who's arriving.

Lead Installer
Fastest clean install on the crew and the person who insists on the full-sink leak test. If your job runs long, it's because Haris found something.
Scheduling & Diagnostics
The voice on the phone. Talks a fair number of people through a fix without dispatching anyone, which is exactly what he's meant to do. He does all programming and techical stuff.
Service areas
We keep the radius tight on purpose. A small service area is how we hold same-week appointments and how we get back out fast if something isn't right.
| Area | Typical response | Trip charge |
|---|---|---|
| North From Dallas Uptown, Highland Park, University Park, North Dallas and Far North Dallas, Lake Highlands, Preston Hollow neighborhoods | Same day or next day | None |

Pricing & warranty
Flat rates, quoted before we start. The only thing that changes a quote mid-job is discovering something we couldn't see — corroded drain lines, an unsafe electrical connection — and we stop and talk to you before touching it.

| Unjam & service | $119 | Clear the jam, reset, clean the chamber, test the drain and the seals. |
| Replacement — your unit | $199 | Removal, install, plumbing, dishwasher connection, leak test, haul-away. |

FAQ
Sixty to ninety minutes for a straightforward swap. Faster if the new unit uses the same mounting system as the old one, since the sink flange stays put. Longer if the drain height changes and the trap needs re-plumbing, or if we find corroded pipe that shouldn't go back together.
Yes, and plenty of people do — several of the units on our shop page are cheaper online than anywhere we could buy them. Our labor rate is the same either way. The only thing we ask is that you check the cabinet height before ordering; a unit that doesn't fit is a wasted trip for both of us.
For one or two people, 1/2 HP is genuinely enough. For a family of four who cook most nights, 3/4 HP is the sweet spot. A full 1 HP matters most if you want quiet and you want to stop thinking about what goes down there. The sizing guide goes into it properly.
Not usually. If there's a working outlet under the sink and your unit has a cord, no. If the disposal is hardwired and the existing connection is sound, we can reuse it. You will need an electrician if there's no circuit under there at all, if the wiring is scorched or undersized, or if your jurisdiction requires a licensed electrician for the connection — we'll tell you before we quote, not after.
Stop using it and contact the manufacturer — recall remedies are free, including installation in most cases. Don't let anyone charge you for a recall replacement. Our recall page has the current notices, model numbers and phone numbers.
It's fine with a properly sized and maintained septic system, but it does increase solids loading, which means pumping more often. Some manufacturers sell septic-specific models that inject enzyme treatment. If you're on septic, talk to whoever pumps your tank before you add one.
See service areas above. No trip charge inside the main radius; $35 for outlying towns, waived if you book an installation.
Tell us what your disposal is doing and we'll tell you what it needs — including if the answer is "nothing, try this first."
